The Concept

A typical older home in the Bay Area in need of a refreshment, the clients turned to Freeman Design Group to bring new life to this house. In addition, the family wanted to create a multi-generational structure for their parents by adding an ADU. We created a welcoming streetscape facade and reorganized and simplified the interior layout to have strong connections to the new large covered patio in the rear yard. Warm, airy, sun-filled, and modern fully describes this house.
