The Concept
A house with mid-century vibes required more living space and a primary suite addition. We expanded the footprint of this house into the rear yard adding an office, new primary bedroom and primary bathroom. With the living room elevated over the garage the expanded living space was challenging. Converting the roof of the garage to an exterior deck and providing large sliding doors was the perfect solution for this homeowner. It provided a cleaner connection to the exterior for outdoor living and made the living room feel like you were in a tree house all with the reduced cost that an addition would entail.
